Beech Armchairs: overview of both chairs in front of each other

Beech Armchairs by Djo-Bourgeois

Very rare armchairs created in 1930 by Djo-Bourgeois (Georges Bourgeois), a shooting star of French decorative arts. These armchairs are a good example of the creations of Djo-Bourgeois: simple lines, the richness of the raffia and leather weave of the seats and backs made by hand, the tilting system of the backrest, to mention some of the characteristics of the seats created. by this Parisian architect. We have not touched the armchairs, they are in the state in which we found them, given the character of a collector's item. Literature: Bony, Anne. Djo-bourgeois. Paris, 29 octobre 2020, Les Éditions du Regard, p. 173.
