Djinn Low Chair by Olivier Mourgue. Ed. Airborne
This Djinn chair is an iconic piece that combines futuristic design with timeless comfort. Designed by Olivier Mourgue, a visionary designer inspired by the Space Age style, Djinn furniture gained worldwide recognition when it appeared in Stanley Kubrick's groundbreaking film, "2001: A Space Odyssey". The name “Djinn” itself draws inspiration from Islamic genies, known for their ability to transform and adapt to different forms through their supernatural powers. Originally launched by Airborne in 1965, this legendary seat embodies the spirit of the times. Its curved steel tube structure, wrapped in polyurethane foam, offers both durability and comfort. Djinn is much more than just furniture; it is a statement of impeccable taste and design. With its avant-garde aesthetic, this Djinn chair fits perfectly into any interior style, whether contemporary or classic. Its clean lines and minimalist silhouette exude a sense of modernity. We completely reupholstered it with Briget fabric from Pierre Frey.
